Icebreaker was the first company in the world to develop a merino wool layering system for outdoor clothing. The company uses only pure merino fibre, handpicked from just 120 high-country sheep stations in New Zealand's Southern Alps. This is used to make edgy outdoor Icebreaker clothing that combines nature's work with human technology and design.
The thin natural fibres make Icebreaker merino wool warm in cold weather and cool in warm weather. It's light, breathable, easy care and has no odour or itch. It's also completely renewable and natural - made from grass, water and sunshine (with a little help from sheep of course).
