ecowool sheep skin rugs are environmentally friendly and unlike some sheepskin rugs they are not tanned using nasty chemicals like arsenic and formaldehyde.

ecowool reflects New Zealand's unspoilt environment

The finest natural materials grown in unpolluted clean alpine pastures, drinking from clear natural spring waters and breathing crisp mountain air.

The sheep skins are expertly trimmed, machined and washed by hand and left to dry in the sun. The tanned fleece is then combed over and over by hand and finally polished to enhance the natural lustre of the sheep's wool. The finished rug takes over 25 stages carried out lovingly by skilled hands.ecowool sheep skin rugs also have a backing that is thick first grade suede leather.
